BSA Troop 422 has been providing exceptional enrichment and leadership development opportunities to youth since 1990.
Our mission is to help transform Scouts into the adult citizens & leaders our communities will turn to in the future, ready for the world.
We offer girls and boys a wide range of fun and educational activities, empowering them to create and mold their own unique experiences.
What We Offer
Outdoor Adventures
We believe that outdoor activities are vital to the growth and development of our youth. Our Troop has monthly campouts at changing locations, so our Scouts get to enjoy trying new things and continuously challenge themselves. We also send our Scouts to both a summer camp and a high adventure base every year!
Scouting Core
At Troop 422, we have a strong core program based on BSA's principles and methods. We offer advancement support for our new Scouts, as well as those on the Life-to-Eagle path. BSA is a youth-led program, using the Patrol Method, and we offer numerous opportunities for our Scouts to develop and practice their leadership skills. Finally, our Scouts frequently perform impactful community service projects throughout the year.
STEAM
Being prepared for the future means knowing a lot about science, technology, engineering, arts, and math. That's why our meetings and campouts include fun and challenging hands-on activities that allow our Scouts to strengthen their STEAM skills. Piloting drones, building & programming robots, and designing games are just a small sample of our Troop's wide range of available STEAM experiences.
